Inspired by the routine trips to the local Asian-ran grocery stores in London, the artwork reflects on the ironic act of seeking products from home after making efforts to live abroad. The graphic and highly saturated illustrative style fixates on the subtle thought codes of immigration within an insignificant and mundane errand. The subjects were tessellated to form the composition much like a identity crisis patchworking to criticise the exchange.
